German Indie-Pop Band Feine Sahne Fischfilet Tops Album Charts with Debut at Number One
For the first time, the German indie-pop band Feine Sahne Fischfilet has reached the top of the official German album charts with their new album “Wir kommen in Frieden”. According to the GfK, the band’s previous albums, “Sturm und Dreck” (2018) and “Alles glänzt” (2023), had previously reached the number three spot.
Another German band, Jeremias, has also climbed to the top of the charts, with their indie-pop formation, following in the footsteps of Feine Sahne Fischfilet. Meanwhile, Sarah Connor’s “Freigeistin” takes bronze and Miley Cyrus’s “Something Beautiful” lands at number four, with Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” making a significant jump from number 64 to number 11.
In the singles charts, Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” takes the top spot, followed by newcomer Nina Chuba with “Wenn das Liebe ist” and Pashanim and Ceren’s “Shabab(e)s im VIP” at number three.
The official German charts, compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the German Music Industry Association, cover approximately 90 percent of all music sales.
