Deportation Revolution: Germany's Hardline Stance on Asylum Seekers

German Politician Calls for Increased Deportation Flights, Emphasis on Asylum Reform

Günter Krings, the deputy leader of the German Christian Democratic Union (CDU), has expressed support for the recent deportation of Kosovar and Albanian individuals from Hannover, advocating for a significant increase in such flights. In an interview with the German news channel “Welt”, Krings stated, “This is more than just a symbol. We need to intensify these flights. We require more deportation flights and deportation measures because the asylum law has two sides: we want to provide protection to those who truly need it, but also bring back those who do not need it, or even those who have committed violent acts by misusing the system.”

Krings emphasized the need to clarify to individuals that, if they are required to leave the country and are capable of doing so, they cannot expect to continue receiving support from the German state at the same level as before. In addition, he called for the implementation of a system of pre-trial detention for criminal offenders, particularly and a reduction in benefits for those who are required to leave the country and are able to do so.

The flight in question, which departed from Hannover-Langenhagen airport on Monday, is believed to have carried around 70 individuals who are subject to deportation, including convicted criminals.
