Werder Bremen’s Head Coach Ole Werner to Leave the Club After the 2025/26 Season
In a statement released on Monday, Werder Bremen announced that head coach Ole Werner will not extend his contract, which is set to expire after the 2025/26 season. Werner had informed the club’s management of his decision, the statement revealed.
Club officials expressed their disappointment at the news, with Geschäftsführer Clemens Fritz stating, “We regret this decision, as we had envisioned a long-term partnership with Ole Werner. We must now accept the situation and will analyze the current circumstances to determine the best solution for Werder Bremen.” Fritz added that the club will take the necessary time to deliberate and will subsequently communicate the outcome.
Ole Werner has been the head coach of Werder Bremen since the end of November 2021, during which time the team finished eighth in the previous season.
