Russian and Ukrainian authorities have completed a prisoner exchange, as announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday. The agreement, reached in Istanbul, involved the transfer of an additional 303 prisoners on each side, the ministry stated in a press release.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a total of 1,000 prisoners were exchanged, with all Russian soldiers and civilians being taken to medical facilities under the Russian Defense Ministry’s care for treatment and rehabilitation.

The outcome of the prisoner exchange has yet to be followed by any confirmation of future similar agreements.
