German National Team Coach Names Two Newcomers for Nations League Final Four
Munich, Germany – German National Team Coach Julian Nagelsmann has announced the inclusion of two new players in the squad for the Nations League Final Four, marking their first call-ups to the team.
Tom Bischof of TSG Hoffenheim and Nick Woltemade of Stuttgart will join the team for the semi-final match against Portugal on June 4 in Munich, the German Football Association (DFB) announced on Thursday. Woltemade, who plays for VfB Stuttgart, has the opportunity to win the DFB Cup with his club against Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday.
Another potential newcomer is Yann Aurel Bisseck, a defender, who may join the team with a title in hand. He is scheduled to play in the Champions League final with Inter Milan against Paris Saint-Germain on May 31 in Munich.
Returning to the German squad are Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen, Waldemar Anton and Felix Nmecha of Borussia Dortmund, Aleksandar Pavlović and Serge Gnabry of FC Bayern Munich, Niclas Füllkrug of West Ham United and goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen of FC Barcelona.
