US President Donald Trump wrote on his platform “Truth Social” on Sunday that Putin does not want a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine, but rather a meeting on Thursday in Turkey to discuss a possible end to the bloodshed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky immediately shared the same information on Sunday, stating that he will be waiting for Putin in Turkey on Thursday. However, Ukraine expects a complete ceasefire starting from Monday to lay the groundwork for diplomacy. It makes no sense to prolong the killing. “I hope that the Russians will not look for excuses this time” said Zelensky.
