In the 33rd match day of the 1. Fußball-Bundesliga, VfL Wolfsburg played against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim at home and ended the game with a 2:2 draw. Within the first 20 seconds of the game, there was an early scare for the guests as Östigaard failed to control an Amoura cross and accidentally scored an own goal. With the dismissal of Ralph Hasenhüttl, the Wolves managed to secure a great start under interim coach Daniel Bauer.
Touré had a great opportunity to equalize in the 11th minute, but his shot from 20 meters was saved by goalkeeper Grabara.
