Linken-Fraktionschefin welcomes Union’s consideration of revising their stance towards the Left
Heidi Reichinnek, the leader of the Left party faction, has found it meaningful for the Union to consider reevaluating their boundaries with the Left. In an interview with the newspapers of the Funke-Mediengruppe (Friday editions), Reichinnek stated, “I am very pleased that the Union has finally arrived in reality.”
The Left party has consistently expressed its willingness to collaborate with all democratic factions when it comes to the interests of the people in this country. “We will continue to stand by this” she affirmed.
For decisions that require a two-thirds majority, it is necessary for the Union to negotiate with the Left. “Therefore, it is only logical and sensible that the Union finally makes a corresponding decision in this regard” said the Left politician.
Reichinnek’s statement comes in response to statements from Union representatives that they need to reconsider how they will deal with the Left party in the future, given the current majority situation in the Bundestag.
