Israel Strikes Yemeni Ports in Response to Houthi Rocket Attacks

The Israeli military has carried out airstrikes in Yemen. “IAF fighter jets have attacked targets of the Houthi terrorists along the Yemeni coast” the military announced on Monday evening via “X”. “The attack was carried out as a response to the repeated attacks by the Houthis on Israel, during which ground-to-ground rockets and drones were fired at Israeli civilians” it stated. The IDF justified the move by targeting “terrorist infrastructure” in the Hudaydah port, which serves as a key supply source for the Houthis and is used to transfer Iranian weapons. The “Bajil” concrete facility, located east of the city of Hudaydah, was also hit, which represents an “important economic resource” and is used for the construction of underground tunnels and “terrorist infrastructure” for the Houthis. “The attacks on the terrorist infrastructure were carried out precisely, with measures taken to limit damage to the ships anchored in the port” the statement added. “The terrorist regime of the Houthis operates under Iranian leadership and financing to target Israel and its allies, undermine regional stability and disrupt global freedom of navigation. The IDF are determined to take action against all threats to the State of Israel from any distance” the Israeli military wrote.
