In Lottstetten, a town in Germany, there was a reported attempted robbery and attempted murder of employees of a casino chain on Wednesday night. According to the Freiburg Police Press Office, the casino staff and a armed security personnel were attacked by several unknown individuals on Industriestraße. During the attack, the security personnel was injured by gunshot wounds.
Initial investigations suggest that the three men left the casino at around 01:50 am. During their departure, they were approached and ordered to lie down by several unknown individuals. A shootout occurred between the perpetrators and the security service employee, resulting in the latter’s injury.
The perpetrators fled in an unknown direction. Despite an immediate search operation, which included the use of a police helicopter, the perpetrators were not apprehended. The perpetrators were described as being dressed in dark clothing and wearing face coverings. The Kriminalpolizei Waldshut-Tiengen has initiated investigations for charges of serious robbery and attempted murder and has formed a 25-member investigative team.
