Schweitzer Predicts High Approval for Coalition Deal with Union

Alexander Schweitzer, the Minister President of Rhineland-Palatinate, has expressed optimism regarding the majority support for the coalition agreement with the Union following the end of the SPD member survey. In an interview with the “Rheinische Post” (Wednesday edition), he stated, “I am confident that we will achieve a sustainable approval at the membership vote. We have negotiated a good coalition agreement, which contains a lot of social democracy. It is a strong compromise between the Union and the SPD.” Schweitzer added, “I am sure that our members understand what it means for the people of Germany to have a capable government that gets things done and implements the coalition agreement, positioning our country well and competitively during difficult times.
