Biden was interrupted during his speech on gun control.
US President Joe Biden told a man who lost his son in the 2018 Parkland school shooting to sit down as the father interrupted Biden during a speech praising bipartisan gun control legislation.
“No matter what is said, we can make great progress and prevent gun violence,” Biden said in the video that CSPAN posted on Twitter.
Manuel Oliver, whose son Joaquin was among the 17 killed in the Parkland mass shooting, was heard screaming in the background.
“Sit down. You’ll hear what I have to say.” Biden said, as Oliver continued to yell at the president.
A few moments later, the president added: “let me finish,” creating a slightly uncomfortable situation.
