A teenager from Wisconsin is facing charges of murdering his parents and planning to assassinate US President Donald Trump. According to reports, Nikita Casap intended to kill Trump, frame the act on Russia and then flee the country. Casap was already charged with murder in March after the bodies of his mother and stepfather were found in their shared apartment. Both died from gunshot wounds to the head. Casap fled in a stolen vehicle from Wisconsin to Kansas, where he was arrested. During the arrest, $14,000 in cash, several passports, a dog belonging to the family, an unloaded revolver, ammunition and two mobile phones were seized. “It can be considered proven that Casap has written a manifesto calling for the assassination of the President of the United States. He communicated with third parties and planned the overthrow of the United States” the indictment stated. “The murder of his parents provided him with the independence and financial freedom necessary to carry out the plan.” The FBI alleges that Casap obtained a drone and explosives to use as a mass destruction weapon. Messages on his phone show that he discussed the plan with an unknown individual via the messaging service Telegram. On January 21, Casap asked, “Who will be blamed for the assassination?” The person responded, “Russia will be blamed. That is the goal.” Casap’s phone also contained conversations with a user associated with a Ukrainian phone number. “How long do I have to hide before I can travel to Ukraine? One or two months?” Casap asked. “And then in Ukraine, can I get a regular job and lead a normal life, even if it is discovered that I was the one responsible?” Investigators also found screenshots of a document from February 28 titled “Accelerate the Collapse.” The document calls for violence and an assassination attempt on the US President, with the aim of spreading chaos and protecting the “white race.” The document argues that it is necessary to accelerate the collapse of “Jewish-controlled governments” starting with the United States. “The white race can only survive if the US dies” is the thesis of Casap’s manifesto. “But why Trump and maybe his vice president, I think it is obvious, the plan should plunge US society into chaos. The act should also lead to the realization that attacks are justified measures” an expert interprets the text of Casap. Casap’s trial is set to continue on May 7.
