A recent opinion poll conducted by INSA for Bild am Sonntag has shown a decline in the CDU’s popularity, with the party now receiving 26 percent of the vote. In comparison to the previous week, the CDU has lost one percentage point and in comparison to the last federal election, the party and its sister party CSU have lost 2.5 percentage points. According to the poll, a black-red coalition would not have a majority in the parliament.
The AfD remains in second place, with an unchanged 23 percent of the vote. The Greens and the Left Party also maintained their previous results, with 12 and 10 percent, respectively. The BSW party received five percent and the FDP would not enter the Bundestag with a three percent share of the vote.
The INSA institute surveyed 1,204 people from March 24 to 28, 2025, with a maximum margin of error of 2.9 percentage points.
