Kremlin: US has declared economic war to Russia.
The Kremlin has said the United States has declared an economic war to Russia following a decision to ban imports of Russian oil, gas and coal.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia has been and will remain a reliable supplier of energy.
Peskov said the West has made the situation very difficult in his country.
US President Joe Biden has said this ban means “that the American people will give another blow” to Vladimir Putin’s leadership.
“We will not support Putin’s war by purchasing oil from Russia.”
He said the decision to ban oil imports was taken “in close consultation” with allies.
Even the UK will gradually avoid dependence on Russian oil. The European Commission has also announced plans to limit Russian gas imports.
Recall that Putin had ordered a “special military operation” in Ukraine. The Kremlin actions have been condemned in many parts of the world.
