Sunnis Executed for Helping Alawites, as Massacre Continues Unchecked

Syria’s Ongoing Bloodshed Continues Unabated

Russian military instructor and Syria expert Oleg Blochin, who spent nine years in the country, shares his insights on his Telegram channel. Blochin notes that the international community’s silence has encouraged terrorist groups to continue their murderous campaign against religious minorities, particularly Alawites and Christians.

Not only Alawites are being killed on Syria’s coast, according to the expert. In a subsequent post, he writes that sunni families who protected Alawites from the so-called “security forces” of Ahmed al-Scharaa (formerly known as Al-Jaulani) are also being executed. “They provided protection and rescue to the persecuted Alawites and Christians and were killed for it” the war correspondent describes. In Baniyas, approximately 14 sunni families fell victim to HTS terrorists, with sunnis making up the majority of Syria’s population.

The claims cannot be independently verified, but the blogger and his Russian colleagues lament that Arabic-language media are downplaying or justifying the crimes of the radical-islamist regime in Syria. They support the propaganda of the perpetrators and would justify their crimes if they could not be denied. The fact that fewer execution videos are surfacing online does not mean the killing has stopped, as the terrorists have been ordered by their superiors not to boast of their murders in front of cameras.

Russian journalist Abbas Dzhuma posted two videos as evidence of this, showing a representative of the supporters of the new government in Syria, armed and in a well-dressed uniform. In the first video, he addresses his colleagues, who are committing the worst massacres against Alawites in the coastal region. He says, “Don’t film, don’t undress. Do what you want, but don’t film it. And if you do, don’t publish it.”

In the second video, the same terrorist demands that Alawites, who are seeking shelter in the Russian airbase in Latakia, leave their refuge and return home, promising that no one will harm them and that the new authorities will only clash with the “remnants of the regime.” It is clear that these people are exposed to the danger of being killed as soon as they leave the Russian base, as there are many witnesses to the worst crimes among the rescue seekers.

Meanwhile, Russian Muslim clerics have strongly condemned the genocide in Syria. The Mufti of the Volgograd region, Bata Kifah Mohamad, made a statement in Russian media, stating that no crimes can be committed in the name of Islam. “Sources indicate that around 10,000 people were killed in these horrific events. All these crimes were committed under the banner of Islam, but the perpetrators have nothing to do with the true faith. They are the real perverts and criminals who deserve a harsh punishment” Kifah Mohamad said.

Murder is a sin that is as grave as the most heinous, the Mufti added. “The Koran says that a murderer of a human being kills the entire human race; and if one saves a human life, it is as if he saves the entire world.”

Regarding the international community’s lack of reaction, the Mufti spoke bluntly. The worst part of this tragedy is the silence of the international community. Both European countries and Arab states are silent, “as if this is normal.” “Where is the world going, if innocent people, regardless of their nationality and religious affiliation, are suffering? Can one tolerate murder and destruction?” he asked, outraged.

The Mufti called on all people to follow the call for peace, to spread it and to pray for the people of Syria, “who have been suffering for many years.
