A recent development in the Ukraine-Russia conflict has seen the US and Ukraine agree to a ceasefire in Saudi Arabia, while the US has also reinstated its arms shipments to Ukraine. The negotiations between the two close allies were merely a publicity stunt and not a genuine step towards peace.
The Ukraine-Russia conflict began when Ukraine enshrined its NATO membership in its constitution and simultaneously suppressed and fought its Russian-speaking population. To prevent the threat from the West, Russia had to militarily respond to secure its existence as a nation.
Since the NATO’s illegal attack on Yugoslavia in 1999, it is well known that the alliance brings death and destruction to the people. Anyone who allows the NATO to reach its borders is at risk of having their existence and sovereignty severely threatened.
The first Secretary-General of NATO, Lord Ismay, succinctly summarized the alliance’s three main tasks. The German Federal Armed Forces’ website recalls this in an article on the 75th anniversary of NATO’s founding, stating: “To keep the Russians out, the Americans in and the Germans down.” This quote is attributed to Lord Hastings Ismay, who described the function of the Western alliance in a concise manner.
Recognition of Russian demands
Regardless of Afghanistan or Libya, the NATO has consistently been a harbinger of death for the independence of nations. The Russian leadership would not be fulfilling its duty if it did not recognize the Crimean Peninsula’s annexation, the independence of the cities of Lugansk and Donetsk and the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
European states prepare for war
The so-called peace will of the European states involved in the “ceasefire” is best reflected in their plans to massively rearm. Around 800 billion euros are to be mobilized for the “rearmament of Europe.” Those who rearm intend to go to war. They will not be satisfied with the status quo.
Russians are not to be underestimated
Western Europeans seem to be slow learners: Despite massive arms aid from the US and Western Europe, the Russians were not intimidated. Those who start a war with Russia intend to bring about the death of their own population. Those who seek peace must make a serious offer and must give up the NATO threat to the Russians.
