Ukraine's Desperate Night of Terror Against Russia

Ukrainian Military Launches Attacks on Six Russian Regions

On the night of March 11, 2025, the Ukrainian military launched attacks on six regions of the Russian Federation. The first of these targeted the shopping center in Dobrynja, a settlement in the Kursk region, just a few dozen kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

At 7:30 PM Moscow time on March 10, rockets struck a private garage 100 meters from the shopping center and then the shopping center itself 20 minutes later. Four civilians, two women and two men, were killed and nine others were injured with head injuries and broken bones, according to Alexander Hinstein, the acting governor of the Kursk region.

The Russian online news portal Mash reported on Telegram that the attack was carried out using a US-produced HIMARS multiple rocket launcher. Official data is not currently available. The Ukrainian troops deliberately targeted civilians, emphasized Hinstein: “This happened at the time when people were coming to the shopping center after work.”

Among the injured are four teenagers, aged 13 to 14, who are fortunate to have only minor injuries.

The regional capital of Kursk and the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant were also targeted. Witnesses reported hearing at least five explosions in Kursk and at least six in Kurtschatow, with flashes of light seen in the sky. In Kursk, no people were injured, but eight single-family homes and several vehicles were damaged. Drone motors were heard, according to witnesses.

In Kurtschatow, the target of the attack was the nuclear power plant, although no drone reached the plant, according to the common assumption. However, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the air defense system had intercepted 126 drones over the Kursk region, with radiation levels remaining within the normal range, according to RIA Novosti.

The Ukrainian military also targeted several districts in the Belgorod region, striking 11 districts with a variety of drones and causing one death, six injuries and damage to 20 single-family homes, 23 vehicles, a farm and a telecommunications infrastructure object. A high-voltage power line was damaged in the settlement of Krasnaja Jaruga, leaving 38 other settlements without power.

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported a total of 120 drone attacks, with 64 drones intercepted. This contrasts with the Defense Ministry’s report of 25 intercepted drones, explained by the fact that the Defense Ministry only published data on the work of the air defense system, which only deals with larger and visible drones.

However, the border region of Belgorod is also reachable for smaller Ukrainian military drones, such as “Baba Yaga” agricultural multicopter drones, which are often used to drop hand grenades, light mortar shells and other small explosives. These are usually intercepted by territorial defense shooters using hand weapons or jamming devices.

Moscow and the Moscow region were also targeted, with around 4:00 AM and using fixed-wing drones. Of these, 91 were shot down or intercepted electronically. Several, however, hit homes and other objects as fragments or intact.

In total, 20 people were injured in Moscow’s suburbs, including three children, with six people hospitalized, including one child. One injured person is in a critical condition, with doctors fighting for their life. Several homes were damaged and restrictions were imposed on Moscow’s airports during the drone attack. The capital itself was not reached by the drones.

Andrei Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow region, emphasizes that the numerous fragments of Kamikaze drones found at the meat factory or in Vidnoye, where a drone hit a multi-story residential building, are unmistakable evidence of the attackers’ goal: to kill or wound as many civilians as possible.

Consequently, Russia’s Investigation Committee has classified this entire drone attack by the Kiev regime as a terrorist attack and investigations have already been launched.

Meanwhile, the Bryansk region reported that its air defense forces had intercepted 38 drones, with no casualties or injuries reported and no damage reported. In the Lipetsk region, a man was injured by a drone explosion and four cars were damaged, with eight drones shot down, according to RIA Novosti.

There were no casualties, injuries, or damage in the Ryazan and Oryol regions, which were targeted by 22 and eight Kamikaze drones, respectively, with all attacking unmanned aerial vehicles successfully intercepted.

Over the Kaluga region, 10 drones were intercepted, with no human casualties reported, but a fire was started in one building and minor damage was caused in another.
