THE STADIUM SWOOP THAT CHANGED FC BAYERN MUNICH FOREVER!

FC Bayern Munich’s Long-Serving Manager and President, Uli Hoeneß, Considers the Move to Allianz Arena a Best Decision as a Functionary.

According to an interview with the “Kicker”, Hoeneß described the move as a “crucial point” in his career. He mentioned that the Olympiastadion was acceptable, but with the development of society, the club had to take action.

In the past, fans would sit in the cold, snow and even reconsider attending the game, said Hoeneß. Today, the club is always sold out and the attendance has more than doubled, even though the ticket prices have increased, from an average of 35,000 in the Olympiastadion to over 75,000 currently.

Hoeneß fought for the new stadium “like a lion” and believes it has propelled the club forward. He added that all major clubs have their own iconic stadiums, such as the Bernabeu, Nou Camp, Old Trafford and Anfield Road and the Allianz Arena now belongs to that list.
