The German Foreign Minister is attacked with eggs.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock was at a pre-election rally in Wuppertal today, where she was attacked with eggs.
Namely, Baerbock spoke at the pre-election rally to support the candidate of the “greens”, Mona Neubauer.
At one point a woman started throwing eggs in the direction of the minister. The German official reacted calmly and skillfully avoided the egg as she continued to deliver the speech.
“You can lay as many eggs as you want,” she said, while addressing the woman who laid the eggs, “you have the right to express your opinion, but this is not the best way.”
Police said that “the egg has lost its target” and that a criminal charge has been filed against the woman who laid the egg for attempted bodily injury.
Otherwise, the rally was held before the provincial elections in North Rhine-Westphalia.
