A man was severely injured in a knife attack at the Berlin Holocaust Memorial on Friday, according to a statement from the Berlin Police in the evening. The victim was attacked by an unknown person at around 6 pm in the courtyard of the memorial for the murdered Jews of Europe. The injured person was taken to a hospital. Rescue teams had to treat several people on the scene who had witnessed the incident. Blood-stained clothing was found at the crime scene and the attacker fled the scene, with the weapon initially not found.
