Russia bombs Kiev while Guterres is visiting.
Russia today attacked the western part of Kiev with two giant missiles, while UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres at the time was in a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Ukrainian capital.
Two powerful explosions rocked Kiev today after Guterres visited the site of the massacre and the mass grave on the outskirts of the capital – where he met with Zelensky.
Adviser to the Ukrainian president Mikhail Podolyak, asked if this action can be considered a “greeting card from Moscow”.
On the other hand, the Minister of Defense, Oleksii Reznikov, called the bombing an attack on “the Secretary General’s security and world security”.
Other Western leaders, such as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and US Secretaries Antony Blinken and Lloyd Austin, have visited Ukraine in the past, but there have been no attacks by the Russian military at the time.
