The leader of the Left, Sahra Wagenknecht, has called for the immediate deportation of a suspected asylum seeker in the wake of a recent attack in Munich. In an interview with the “Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland”, Wagenknecht stated, “Once again, an asylum seeker, once again known to the police and once again a heinous crime. It is simply appalling what has happened in Munich today. We must finally decisively combat these crimes, which all too often follow the same pattern, if we are to bring about a change. This is only possible if we end uncontrolled migration and consistently deport those who pose a threat to our country and the people of Germany, including deportations to Afghanistan.”
Wagenknecht also emphasized, “Anyone who commits violent offenses of any kind should not be granted asylum in Germany.” She attributed the consequences of the “naive welcome culture” to the recent attacks, stating that it is now the victims who are being harmed, traumatized and killed. Wagenknecht concluded, “Demonstrations against the continuation of such a policy would be appropriate.
