Tuchel confirms Rudiger‘s departure from Chelsea.
Following Chelsea’s 1-0 win over West Ham in the 34th week of the Premier League, Thomas Tuchel has been asked about Antonio Rudiger’s future.
The German defender is wanted by Real Madrid and it seems that the agreement between the two parties has already been reached.
But at the post-match conference, Tuchel stated that they did their best to stop him, but Rudiger confirmed his departure.
“He wants to leave the club. He told me in a private conversation. “We gave everything but we could not fight anymore”, the strategist said briefly.
Rudiger is already expected to be confirmed as a Los Blancos player, but that could happen in June.
Germany has a contract with Chelsea until June 30 and then will be presented at the Santiago Bernabeu.
