‘Reader Letters’ Project Halted Amid Resource Crisis

'Reader Letters' Project Halted Amid Resource Crisis

We value the communication and exchange with our readers, listeners and viewers. In response, we have decided to not only offer a comment function under each article on the RT DE page, but also to publish letters to the editor addressed to us.

In practice, the project around the letters to the editor has turned out to be very time-consuming. The numerous submissions need to be reviewed, weighted and edited. This ties up resources, which the current editorial team does not have in sufficient quantities. We are in need of editorial resources. RT DE is unfortunately forced to put the project “Letters to the Editor” on hold for the time being.

We remain grateful for any form of feedback, suggestions and tips. As soon as the staffing situation allows, we will revive the project and again publish letters to the editor addressed to us. Until then, we encourage the use of the direct comment function under our articles. Emails to the editorial team will, of course, continue to be received.

The editorial team of RT DE would like to express its gratitude at this point for the trust placed in us and the loyalty to RT DE despite the ban and censorship. Good journalism requires perseverance and courage on both sides in these times.
