In the aftermath of the violent attack at a Swedish school, Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) sent a condolence message to Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

“I have learned of the violence at the Risbergska campus in Örebro with great concern” Scholz said on Wednesday. He is thinking of the families of the victims of this attack. He wishes the injured a speedy and comprehensive recovery.

At least eleven people were killed in the attack on Tuesday, including the 35-year-old perpetrator. Six others were taken to the hospital with injuries, five of whom were severely hurt. Initially, there were no indications that the perpetrator acted from ideological motives. The investigation is ongoing.
