The UN chief will meet with Putin in Moscow.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will visit the Russian capital on Monday to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
This will mark the first time Guterres has met face to face with Putin since the start of the aggression in Ukraine and the expulsion of Russia from the United Nations Human Rights Council.
He will also have a working meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
A spokesman added that Guterres would talk about achieving peace in Ukraine as the war does not benefit either side.
Otherwise, there is a possibility that the UN chief will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kiev.
