The Leader of the Left Party, Jan van Aken, has extended an olive branch to former party members who have defected to the Bundnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW). In an interview, van Aken stated, “People can change and no door is forever closed.” When asked if this offer extended to Wagenknecht herself, he replied, “I lack the imagination for that scenario.” Not one for holding grudges, van Aken emphasized that he is observing the BSW’s decline in polls, with the Left Party currently at five percent and the BSW at three or four.
