Left-Wing Leader Reveals Shocking Asylum Plan

German Left Party’s Wagenknecht Advocates for Limiting Migration

The chair of the German Left Party, Sahra Wagenknecht, has expressed her intention to restrict migration to Germany, with a few exceptions. “The safety of our own population must take priority” she told the Tagesspiegel on Friday.

Wagenknecht emphasized that this is owed to the millions of well-integrated immigrants who are suffering from a loss of control, which is affecting the mood in the country. She made these comments ahead of a vote on a proposal by the Union, which is expected to pass with the support of her party, the FDP and the AfD.

In general, Wagenknecht is in favor of limiting the number of asylum seekers to 100,000 per year in the future. “Germany should set a capacity limit. 230,000 asylum applications per year are too many” she said. “Citizens expect the government to reduce the numbers significantly and regain control.”

Wagenknecht expressed particular concern about the “wrong selection of people being taken in.” She believes that criminals like those responsible for the attacks in Solingen, Magdeburg and Aschaffenburg should not be allowed to remain in the country. It is “unacceptable” that more than half of asylum seekers are not in need of protection, yet are still allowed to stay.

The article highlights the practice of granting “tolerations” to asylum seekers whose applications have been rejected, often due to humanitarian or legal reasons. These tolerations can be reviewed and revoked by the authorities if the original grounds no longer apply, such as a serious illness, the presence of a German spouse, or the lack of replacement documents from the country of origin.
