Grünen-Chair Felix Banaszak accused CDU chancellor candidate Friedrich Merz of a historical mistake. “Merz made a historical error” said Banaszak to the RTL/ntv editorial team.
“The first time in the history of this country, a majority for a motion has come into being with the votes of a party that is in part secured to the right and that was deliberately calculated.”
This contradicts everything Friedrich Merz said himself in the German Bundestag: “It should not happen by chance that the AfD decides on majority or minority for its own initiatives. And he decided to break his word. The damage done is immeasurable” Banaszak said.
“Here are people all around the area who are crying because they worry about what kind of country they and their children will grow up in and I share this concern” Banaszak criticized.
