UNION ON BRINK OF HISTORY'S BIGGEST POLITICAL SHOCK!

In a strongly worded warning, SPD General Secretary Matthias Miersch has cautioned the Union against cooperating with the AfD. Such a move would be a “pioneering breach of taboos in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany”, Miersch stated in Berlin on Monday. “Who lets the AfD into their house will not be able to get it out of the house again”, the General Secretary added.

The Union’s actions would also raise the question of how the party would act after the federal election if it were possible to form majorities with the AfD. “We must set a clear stop signal here”, the SPD politician emphasized. The social cohesion of a society should not be abandoned, even in difficult situations.

Instead, the SPD is offering all democratic parties the opportunity to abandon their blockage of the Gea-Reform and the security package and pass these bills, said Miersch further. This would grant the police additional powers. In the context of the Aschaffenburg incident, the most important thing is a better networking of the authorities, he stressed.

The proposals of CDU leader Friedrich Merz, on the other hand, are not in line with the constitution and European law, Miersch said. “It will only work in the European union, not nationally”, the General Secretary emphasized.
