Merz emphasized that the AfD, a far-right party, will not be involved in the discussion, stating that only the SPD, Greens and FDP have received the proposed texts, which are to be decided upon next week. The CDU leader urged for decisive action, claiming that “after Aschaffenburg, there will be no more tactical games and no more playing around. Now it’s time to make a decision.
