Leverkusen's Wirtz Masterclass Foiled in Leipzig!

RB Leipzig and Bayer 04 Leverkusen played out a 2-2 draw at the Red Bull Arena in the 19th matchday of the German Bundesliga. Both teams sought to take the lead from the start, with Leverkusen initially successful. In the 18th minute, Wirtz outmaneuvered the RB defense, finding Schick, who scored with a shot that deflected off the post and in.

Leverkusen doubled their lead in the 36th minute, as Wirtz provided a pass to Aleix Garcia, who scored calmly from the right side of the box. However, RB Leipzig pulled one back in the 41st minute, when a Hincapie free kick took an unfortunate bounce and went in off the underside of the crossbar.

At the break, the hosts were still within striking distance. In the second half, both teams exchanged quick counter-attacks, with Leverkusen creating more chances. However, the equalizer came from the hosts in the 85th minute, when Tapsoba inadvertently headed a Xavi free kick in off the post and into the net.
