In the 19th matchday of the 2nd German Football League, 1. FC Köln secured a 1-0 win against SV Elversberg, reclaiming the top spot in the table. Elversberg remains in seventh place.
The decisive goal came in the 81st minute, when Dejan Ljubicic scored from the edge of the penalty area, following a pass from Maina, who had cleverly won the ball back.
Prior to the goal, Köln had created several chances, only to be denied by a disallowed goal from Maina, following a video review. Elversberg, despite being somewhat nervous, managed to gain more possession early on and even threatened more in the second half.
