0.3% Predicted for 2025!

The German federal government is reportedly revising its economic growth forecast significantly downward. According to the Handelsblatt, citing government sources, the government now expects a 0.3% economic growth for the current year, a significant decrease from the 1.1% growth it initially projected three months ago.

Economic Minister Robert Habeck is set to present the new forecast as part of the annual economic report next Wednesday. The numbers may still be subject to slight changes, but for now, that is the current expectation.

For 2026, the government is again expecting a slightly stronger growth, with the forecast reportedly set at nearly 1%. In the fall, the government had initially projected a 1.6% growth for the same year.
