Germany Shaken: Minister Faeser in Shock After Aschaffenburg Bloodbath

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) expressed concern over the death of two people in a violent incident in Aschaffenburg. “We are utterly shocked by the terrible violence in Aschaffenburg” she said in the afternoon.

“My thoughts and my deeply felt empathy are with the parents of the child who lost their life, for whom there could be no more horrific news. My deep empathy also goes to the family of the man who lost his life in this brutal act” Faeser said. “I wish the severely injured a full recovery from the bottom of my heart. Our heartfelt thanks go to the police and rescue services for their efforts. The investigations will uncover the background of this heinous act of violence.”

Bayern’s Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) also expressed his condolences. “We mourn the victims of a cowardly and despicable act. We mourn a small, innocent child who was fatally injured. We mourn a helper who paid with his life for his civic courage” Söder wrote on X. “The circumstances of this unimaginable act must be fully clarified. But for now, it is a time for restraint.
