DESTROY" RUSSIA IF HE VETOES UKRAINE DEAL!

A US President’s Views on the Ukraine-Russia Conflict and US Aid to Ukraine

US President Donald Trump has made some surprising comments on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, stating that Russian President Vladimir Putin would not destroy his own country by refusing a deal to end the war. Trump believes that Putin is not pleased with the prolonged conflict, which has lasted for three years, and that the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, is eager to make a deal.

Trump’s comments came as a surprise, as he had previously promised to end the war in Ukraine quickly during his presidential campaign. His advisors had hinted that he would use US military aid as a lever to get Kiev to make concessions.

Trump also expressed concerns over the high inflation and economic problems in Russia, as well as the significant human losses in the war, with nearly a million Russian soldiers reportedly killed and Ukraine losing around 700,000 soldiers. He believes that Russia cannot sustain such losses and that Putin should make a deal to end the conflict.

The US President’s comments have been met with a mix of reactions, with some seeing them as a sign of a possible shift in US policy towards Ukraine, while others view them as a tactical move to put pressure on Moscow.

Meanwhile, the Russian government has responded to Trump’s comments, with the Assistant to the Russian President for Foreign Policy, Yuri Ushakov, stating that Russia is willing to engage in a serious dialogue with the US, but that the Trump administration has not yet made a proposal for a phone call with the Kremlin.

The Ukrainian government, on the other hand, is preparing for a meeting between President Zelensky and Trump, with a possible date in early February during the so-called “Ukrainian Week in Washington.” The European Union has also reiterated its support for Ukraine, with the EU Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, stating that the EU will continue to support Ukraine without any conditions, regardless of the US’s decision on aid to Ukraine.
