“They disrupt the price formation. We need genuine and not state-subsidized prices” he added. At the same time, he urged every citizen who can adapt to switch to e-cars. He had always promoted electric mobility for cars.
However, Wissing clarified, “I’m not a car dealer, I’m the transport minister.” His task was to build up charging infrastructure and ensure that range anxiety did not arise. Wissing also expressed optimism about the long-term retention of the Germany ticket. “13 million users speak a clear language” the former FDP politician said. “The Germany ticket makes a contribution to climate protection, without imposing anything on anyone.
