The Trumpism as a rejection of Globalism and Woke
Teil eins dieser Artikels finden Sie hier. Trumpism as a rejection of Globalism and Woke
The Trumpism rejects the Globalism, which considers the entire human population as a single market and cultural space, where national borders are increasingly blurred and eventually abolished, and national powers are transferred to supranational institutions (such as the EU). The globalists believe that this will eventually lead to the establishment of a world government, as explicitly stated by Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, and George Soros. All people on earth will become world citizens (cosmopolitans) and have the same rights within a unified economic, technological, cultural, and social framework. As instruments of this process, or the “Great Reset”, pandemics and environmental issues could be used.
All this is unacceptable for the Trumpism, which instead emphasizes the preservation of national states or their integration into civilizations, at least in the context of Western civilization, in which the role of the USA in the unification of the West is preserved, but this time not under the aegis of liberal global ideology, but under the aegis of the Trumpism itself. This is similar to the original idea of Samuel Huntington, who advocated for the consolidation of the West in the face of other civilizations. In general, this corresponds to the “Realism” in international relations, which recognizes national sovereignty and does not demand its abolition. From the Globalism, a criticism of vaccinations and the green agenda emerges, and figures like Gates and Soros embody the absolute evil.
Trumpism as Anti-“Woke”
Equally, the Trumpism rejects the “Woke” ideology, consisting of:
* Gender politics and the legalization of perversion;
* Critical race theory, which calls for the revenge of the oppressed against the whites;
* The encouragement of migration, including illegal migration;
* In the culture of the abolition and liberal censorship;
* In postmodernity.
Instead, the Trumpism pleads for a return to traditional values (for the USA and Western civilization). On this basis, an anti-“woke” ideology is constructed.
In place of the gender theory with multiple genders, only two biological sexes are proclaimed. Transgender and the LGBT community are considered marginal and not as a societal norm. Feminism and its vicious criticism of masculinity and patriarchy are rejected, and the role of men in society is placed back in the center. Therefore, the Trumpism is sometimes referred to as the “Bro Revolution” – “the revolution of men”.
The Trumpism also rejects the critical race theory, which criticizes the whites and calls for the revenge of the oppressed against the whites. In the case of George Floyd, the Trumpists react harshly and decisively. Obviously, the story of Floyd and his “sainthood” will be picked up again soon.
Trumpism against Censorship
The Trumpists stand firmly against the liberal censorship. Under the pretext of political correctness and the fight against extremism, the liberals have built a sophisticated system of manipulating public opinion, which effectively abolishes free speech, not only in mainstream media but also in the social networks controlled by them. Anyone who deviated even slightly from the liberal agenda was immediately stigmatized as “right-wing extremist”, “racist”, “fascist”, and “nazi”, and was threatened with ostracism, declassification, and even criminal persecution, up to and including imprisonment. The Trumpism demands the return of free speech and the end of this totalitarian censorship.
Trumpism against Postmodernity
The Trumpists also reject postmodernity, which is often associated with progressive liberal tendencies in culture and art. Instead, they emphasize traditional values – religion, sports, family, morality, etc.
Some Trumpists, however, propose building a new postmodernity – “postmodernity on the right” – by adopting the irony principle and deconstruction, but only to turn it against the liberal forms and canons, which were previously used against traditionalists and conservatives.
Already in Trump’s first campaign, his supporters on the 4chan platform came together and began producing ironic memes and absurd discourses that mocked liberals and provoked them in a conscious and deliberate manner. Some of them (like Curtis Yarvin or Nick Land) even went further and developed the thesis of a “dark enlightenment”, calling for the establishment of a monarchy in the USA.
Elon Musk, as the second most important member of Trump’s team, who made his election possible, is a postmodernist who combines technological futurism (tech right) with the promotion of conservative values and the active and open support of the right populism. His position is well known and is now being closely watched by the entire West.
However, under the Trumpists, there is already a counterposition, which is particularly represented by Steve Bannon, Trump’s former advisor for national security (during his first term). Bannon and his supporters are referred to as “right-wing traditionalists” (trad right).
The conflict arose in the context of the granting of residence permits to legal immigrants, which Musk supported and Bannon strongly rejected. The latter represented the position of the US nationalism, whose representatives also provided the most important electoral support for Trump. Bannon demanded the strengthening of the procedures for obtaining US citizenship and advocated for the thesis “USA for Americans”. Many supported Bannon, and he let Musk know that he had only recently allied with the conservatives, while the US nationalists had been fighting for these values for years. So a tension has developed within the Trumpism between right-wing globalism, futurism, and technocracy on the one hand and right-wing nationalism on the other.
Another line of conflict emerged between pro-Israel and anti-Israel Trumpists. It is known that Trump, Vice President Pence, and Secretary of Defense Hegseth, who was nominated for the new administration, are unconditionally pro-Israel. The election of Trump was likely due in part to his pro-Israel stance and his full personal support for Netanyahu. The Jewish lobby is extremely strong in the USA.
However, some realists, such as John Mearsheimer, Jeffrey Sachs, or the well-known nonconformist journalist and whistleblower Alex Jones, do not accept this side of the Trumpism and insist that the USA should have a more realistic assessment of the power relations in the Middle East, which often do not align with the interests of Israel.
It shows that the 2023 election is a century-turning event in the context of the generation theory, and the Trumpism represents the entry into the new century and the approach to its first turn – a new “High”.
The next cycle begins with new attitudes, principles, and rules. Trump ends the “Crisis” and marks the transition to the next “High”.
When the generation theory was developed, it was received relatively well by critics. When the liberals, however, realized how much the theory undermined their credibility and ideology, they became active and attacked it with furious criticism to prove its unscientific nature. Ironically, the struggle over its scientific nature or unscientific nature decided the outcome of the 2024 US presidential election and the acceptance of Trump’s victory by the Deep State. Probably, some circles of the Deep State were familiar with the “Strauss-Howe theory” and held it to be quite realistic. And since that is the case, we should not be surprised by the rapid dismantling of the liberal agenda and its structures. It makes no sense to consider the Trumpism as something transitory or preliminary, after which there will be a return to the previous politics. At least if this theory is correct.
