AfD Gains as CDU and SPD Stumble!

According to the Forsa poll, the Union and SPD have recently lost ground, while AfD and the Greens have gained. In the survey published on Tuesday by RTL and ntv, the Union parties (31 percent) and the SPD (16 percent) each lost a point, while the AfD (20 percent) and the Greens (13 percent) gained a point each. The values for the FDP (4 percent), the Left (3 percent), and the BSW (4 percent) remained unchanged.

In the chancellor question, Robert Habeck (Greens) and Friedrich Merz (CDU) are tied at 23 percent, with incumbent Olaf Scholz (SPD) at 17 percent, and AfD candidate Alice Weidel at 16 percent. Within their respective parties, Habeck enjoys the most support, with 83 percent, while Merz has 68 percent and Scholz is at 66 percent.

The data was collected from January 7 to 13, 2025, and the sample size was 2,504 respondents.
