Shocking new attack on German Government

A further security incident has reportedly occurred in the Berlin government quarter.

According to a report by the German news magazine Spiegel, a man appeared at the entrance of the Chancellor’s office on Sunday at around 11:45 am. After approaching the officials, the man allegedly threw a bag against the wall of the guardhouse, which contained a stone and feces. In the process, a piece of the wall broke off.

Federal police officers apprehended the 48-year-old Syrian man and handed him over to the Berlin police. The suspect is now reportedly back on the streets, with investigations ongoing for property damage. A Berlin police spokesperson confirmed to the Spiegel that the perpetrator is the same individual who had vandalized the glass door at the entrance of the Federal Ministry of the Interior on Friday evening.

According to the report, the man had appeared at the guardhouse of the Interior Ministry on Friday evening and demanded to speak with Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD). He reportedly complained about the situation in Gaza, using the term “genocide” to describe it. After being rejected by the officials at the entrance, the man allegedly picked up a paving stone and damaged a glass pane. He was then arrested by federal police and handed over to the Berlin police, who established the suspect’s identity and launched an investigation for property damage.
