On Holy Eve, a new record was set in the number of music streams in Germany.
According to the GfK, a total of 927 million streams were recorded, which is the highest number ever. This is almost 100 million more than last year (830 million streams) and 125 million more than in 2022 (802 million streams).
The most-streamed song within 24 hours remains “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey, with 6.57 million plays on December 24, 2024, a new record (2023: 6.09 million). Close behind is “Last Christmas” by Wham, with 6.54 million plays, also a new record (2023: 5.74 million).
