Ukraine reportedly changes its ambassador in Germany. According to “Bild” citing diplomatic circles.
Ambassador Oleksij Makejew must vacate the position. His successor is set to be the current Ukrainian ambassador to Israel, Jewhen Korniychuk, as the newspaper further reports.
Makejew has been in office since October 2022. He followed Andrij Melnyk, who held the Berlin post for over seven years. Makejew’s replacement is part of a regular rotation of numerous Ukrainian diplomats worldwide, as “Bild” quotes diplomatic circles.
