Linken-Vize's 'Behördentag' Exposed!

The deputy chairman of the Left, Ates Gürpinar, speaks out for a “Bureaucracy Day” for employees.

“‘Bureaucracy runs, doctor’s appointments, or school matters cost time that working parents hardly have’ he said to the ‘Rheinische Post’. These are appointments that have nothing to do with vacation, ‘so there should be a `Bureaucracy Day` for all employees.’ It needs a half-free day per month to deal with such tasks.’

He added: ‘People who are less burdened work more concentrated, are less sick, and more motivated. This helps employees and employers.’

In post-war Germany, there were paid free days for household work, known as Haushaltstag, Hausfrauentag, Hausarbeitstag, or Waschtag, in the West and East Germany. Such regulations were abolished after reunification.
