BSW's Nationwide Impact Unleashed!

The “Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance” has founded a state association in Hamburg and is thus now represented in all federal states. As the last missing regional organization, the BSW established itself in the Hanseatic city on Saturday and will be led in the future by a double leadership of 59-year-old photographer Konstantin Eulenburg and psychiatrist Dr. Jochen Brack.

In Hamburg, the new BSW state association faces a special challenge, as not only is the federal election on February 23, but a week later, the city council election will also take place. Therefore, the youngest BSW state association immediately published the candidate list for the Hamburg election on March 2 after its founding.

This list is headed by the new state chairman Brack. “I was motivated to engage with the BSW by its clear peace policy positions” said the BSW’s top candidate in Hamburg, who was not previously politically active. The question of war and peace is, for him, “the most important topic in the city council election.”

Originally, the BSW state association in Hamburg wanted to found itself a week earlier, but the date was postponed. Even before the regional founding, the Wagenknecht party was seen in the Hanseatic city by several institutes in polls at around four percent.
