BOMBSHELL: North Sea Storm Surge Threatens to Wreak Havoc on Christmas Coastlines!

Flood danger on the German North Sea coast before Christmas.

Already for Thursday, there is a risk of overflooding for beaches and coastal areas, as the Lower Saxony State Agency for Water, Coast, and Nature Conservation in Norden announced.

On Friday, there is a risk of a light storm tide on the North Sea coast. The deviation of the high tide from the average values is expected to be 1.5 meters in Norderney, Bensersiel, and Bremerhaven in the early hours of Friday morning, and 1.75 meters in Emden, Wilhelmshaven, and Cuxhaven.

According to the forecast, the situation will calm down by Friday afternoon and then stabilize again on Saturday, before on Sunday and Monday before Christmas, again deviations of one meter or more are expected, and thus the risk of a light storm tide exists, the agency said.

Meanwhile, the German Weather Service is forecasting stormy gusts for the North Sea, and in isolated locations, even storm gusts with wind speeds of around 80 km/h. In the night before Friday, the wind is expected to subside somewhat.
