The latest ZDF Politbarometer shows hardly any change since the last poll three weeks ago. If this Sunday had been a federal election, the Union would hold 26 percent, the AfD 24 percent, and the SPD 15 percent, all unchanged compared with the previous survey. A small shift is seen with the Greens and the Left: the Greens slip one point down to 12 percent, while the Left gain a point to 11 percent; all other smaller parties together stay at 12 percent.

A further result is that 81 percent of respondents support a ban on social media for children and youths under 14. The strongest backing-84 percent-comes from the 18‑to‑34 age group, according to the Forschungsgruppe Wahlen.
