Unheilig Tops German Charts Fresh Start for Band

Unheilig’s latest release, “Liebe Glaube Monster”, has taken the top spot in Germany’s album charts, according to GfK. This marks the band’s fifth number‑one record. The album is also the best‑selling German release of the week since Rammstein’s “Zeit”, which broke that record nearly four years ago.

In the same week, rap artist SSIO’s ten‑year‑old album “0,9” surged up the list thanks to a commemorative edition, landing in second place. Behind them, international acts are holding the top four: Harry Styles is third with “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally”., and Sarah Connor is fourth with “Freigeistin”.

The top ten also features a mix of genres: Angus McSix climbs to fifth with “Angus McSix And The All‑Seeing Astral Eye”; Chris Norman takes sixth for “Lifelines”; James Blake reaches seventh with “Trying Times”; and the Bavarian indie band The Notwist appears at tenth with “News From Planet Zombie”.

On the singles chart, hip‑hop duo Lacazette & Jazeek stay at the summit with “CDY”. They are preceded by Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life” in second place and Taylor Swift’s “The Fate Of Ophelia” in third. Tame Impala’s “Dracula” jumps from 30 to 15, while artist Dominic Fike makes a double appearance: “Babydoll” rises from 11 to 6, and “White Keys” moves from 8 to 7. New entries include YC’s “Xalaz” at 25 and Tream & treamiboii’s “Hasenjagd” at 32.

These updates come from the official German charts compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie, covering 90 % of all music sales.
