Trump Denounces NATO Allies as Cowards, Claims Without US NATO Is Paper Tiger

President Donald Trump has once again criticized NATO’s partner states. “Without the United States, NATO is a paper tiger” he wrote on Friday on his short‑message platform Truth Social. Trump said the allies “didn’t want to participate in the fight to prevent a nuclear‑armed Iran”. Now that the conflict has been “militarily won” he noted that those same countries complain about the high oil prices they must pay, yet refuse to help open the Strait of Hormuz. According to Trump, this is a “simple military maneuver” against the single cause of the high oil prices-a move that, he argues, would be easy and carry little risk for them. He called the NATO partners “cowards” and warned, “We will remember this”.
