President Donald Trump ruled out a negotiated settlement to the Iran conflict. He stated that there would be “no deal” with Iran unless the country accepted an unconditional surrender. After such a capitulation and the selection of a “great and acceptable” leader, he said he would work with allies and partners to rebuild Iran’s economy.

Trump emphasized that Iran could have a “great future”. He promised to make the country “economically larger, better and stronger than ever before” expressing a vision of bringing Iran out of its current destruction.
